SCARPOINT - The Silence We Deserve

Unlike it's title, the album is anything else but silence, specially for those living next to you. Scarpoint are hailing from Sweden, and are playing their brutal Swedish Death Metal since the Millennium. This is their first album, and I was prepared to forgive some weakness, only I wasn't prepared for what's coming. Their songs are like punches in the stomach, brutal, heavy and catchy as anyone expected from a Swedish Death Metal band. Thrash riffs blend perfectly with Brutal growls, Nu Metal elements can be found also, the music is catchy and melodic, and before you know it, you will bang your head along. The rhythm section of the band really kills, and the manages to make their songs sound like a well oiled machine. While their style is raw and primitive, there's a breeze of fresh air into the songs, with enough interesting ideas, showing the talent of the band in the composing aspect as well. At the end, the album leaves a empty feeling, and you want to listen to it over and over. I am sure that we will hear more great things from them in the future. One that you should check out.
9/10
