VENOM - Metal Black

With their album, Black Metal, back in the 80's the band managed to create a term that would categorize a whole musical style, but on the same time, managed to create a hype as the most extreme and provocative band. Loved by many, hated by as much, but never compromised or changed their sound, Venom are back, with a new album, extreme, fast, aggressive, with the distinctive vocals of Cronos. Aggressive, but catchy at the same time, they managed to create an album that will bring memories back to their older fans, while bearing a more clear and fresh production. With hardly a few less good moments, with songs well written, and lyrics of the typical Venom style, this album has all it takes to become a favorite. It might not sound as extreme as it was back in the 80's, but a band that manages to create such music after two decades, sounds fine with me. A album that you should check out.
