There is nothing more to add to the story of Asia, the British band that celebrates 30 years in the music business, with milestones in their career, with the release of quality albums. This is the third release after their reunion with the original line up, and the Classic Rock band seems to experience a second youth. Right for the first moment, the sound is pure Asia, melodic, well arranged, with excellent vocals and parts to sing along. As the album progresses, you realize more and more that the musicians are in a very creative period of their career. Songs that remind of their early days, as the band admitted that wanted to, with the same energy and passion, but also the same complexity and virtuosity one should expect for talented musicians such as they. The album is very easy to get into, with songs memorable enough, and parts that stick into your mind, but as you listen to it over and over, you discover new things and this makes it even more time resistant. The guitars are excellent, and so are the rhythm section and the keyboards, all playing a vital role in the whole album. Another remarkable moment are the vocals of John Wetton, who colors the songs with his performance, and certainly bring some chills to the fans, specially older ones. Nice vocal harmonies, nice refrains, great arrangements, and top class musicianship from everyone, this is what is expected from an Asia album, and it's exactly what you get here. While all the album is moving on the same Progressive Rock style, there are some more melodic moments and ballads, which are also very well worked, and fitting with the whole result. This is an album that celebrates the majesty of the music, from a band that knows how to create songs that really have something to say. If you are a fan of music that has quality, then invest.
10/10
