You don't have to be a prophet to predict what this album would sound like. The classic Heavy Savatage-injected Metal is present but a bunch of new ideas and production tricks make the difference. Caffery sounds to be in an "experimental" mood sometimes which is not bad after all. The guitar work is amazing of course and the songwriting is interesting but the not so crystal-clear sound quality of this CD spoils the final result. "Pins And Needles" targets on the more open-minded target group of Heavy Metal fans. If you're one of them you'll probably love it.
