KEEN OF THE CROW - Hyborea

Now here's something that will please the fans of Fantasy novels, since this album is a concept and deals about Conan of Cimmeria, a character created by Robert Howard. The album is the first of the band, although the band members are quite talented and experienced musicians. Musically the album borrows elements from both the Doom and the Death scene, creating an interesting, heavy and slow metal style, groovy enough to make you bang you head around with the rhythm. The rhythm section is almost excellent, heavy and tight as it should be, and the vocals, sometimes clear, sometimes brutal, manage to keep the interest of the listener to high levels. The songs are heavy, but also with enough clear and melodic moments and the production is a good as it should be. If you are into Death, or into Doom, this combination that Keen Of The Crow present, will please your needs.
8/10
