When you get your hands into the new release of a band of a caliber of White Lion, you can't help but wonder, if the band will be able to deliver what was famous for, during the past years. Now, after 16 whole years, a new White Lion album is on our hands. With Mike Tramp behind the microphones, the album was a big surprise for us, a very pleasant one to be honest. The sound is a trip back to the 80's, revamped and modernized. AOR, Classic Rock, Melodic Metal, all together, with huge melodies, excellent guitar works, and a vocalist that dominates everything with his voice, in a good way. The band has dared exploring foreign territories, with songs like "Sangre de Cristo" or "Battle At Little Big Horn", but also has maintained their original style. Mike Tramp seems to be in a very good shape, and his voice sounds as good as it was back in the 80's. With the majority of the songs moving in high quality standards, and with enough nice ideas and melodies into their music, this album might not be PRIDE, but can proudly bear the title of it's successor. A must have for the fans of Melodic music.
9/10
