SEPTICFLESH - Communion

The band comes after quite a long hiatus, and the info about the new album that we once had from Spiros, was like a breeze of fresh air, since their previous release was quite amazing. It seems that the break has work for the band, since this album is, at least to say, brilliant. The first thing we noticed was the orchestrations, and the complexity of the music itself. With the help of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague, the band has managed to give an extra diversity into their music, adding depth, and exploring new frontiers. But at the same time, it's brutal, and Melodic, and creates an atmosphere hardly found in an extreme album. There are no weak points here, nor things that could have been done better. Clean and Brutal vocals, well worked melodies, clever arrangements, a dark and Gothic atmosphere, these are some of the key parts of this album, wisely combined by the band to get maximum effect. It seems that the 5 years wait was worth the while. Invest.
10/10

Music is all about taste. Some like it, some others don't. Still one of the bigger Greek bands though.
