Sear is a band that comes from Finland, and this is their first album so far. Melodies are strong and important here, and blend nicely with the style of the band. The band is playing Brutal Death Metal, with tons of Thrashy riffs, vocals that vary from Death to Black, but also enough melodies and a dark and sometimes melancholic feeling into their music. The majority of the arrangements are good, with some nice ideas, and since this is a debut album, some minor things that can be fixed with more work. A very promising start, from a country that has high standards in the music scene.
