New Years Day is a new band, that exists for only a couple of years and the music that they play has nothing to do with Metal as we know it. On the other hand, the band is really interesting, if, of course, you musical taste goes beyond Metal. They are playing a radio friendly version of Rock, with touches from Punk, clean female vocals, and reminds a lot of the Avril Lavigne style. The songs though are really catchy and fun to listen to, have an easy, but sticky groove, and you will find yourself tapping along with the rhythm in no time. The songs are moving to the same catchy motive,somethingg that makes the album an ideal partner while driving. Looking at the lyrics one might see that they moving on the same heartbreaking motif, something that, according to the band, was the motivation to start this band. Easy listening, catchy, with cute and interesting vocals, enough talent, and nice production, this album might not bring the revolution to the music, but will give you some hours of listening pleasure.
