The skills of a guitar player like Kotzen are well known almost to everyone, but here we have a solo album, with a different musical approach than the usual. The music here is Hard Rock, with enough Blues and Southern elements as well. The result might sound a bit old-fashioned, but is catchy and melodic, with well worked arrangements and tunes that stick into your mind. Besides the excellent guitars that one should expect, a good comment exist for the vocals as well, but also for the other band members that are also performing on the same high level of musicianship. The arrangements are very good, with a Bluesy feeling in the music, something that makes them even morepowerfull and mind intriguing. All in all, besides the unquestionable skills of Ritchie Kotzen, this album is one of those that contains enough good music, sometimes more close to Hard Rock, others with more Southern or Blues elements, but always well performed. Music that has something to say to the listener.
