MINISTRY - Cover Up

I have never been a huge fan of the band, although I must admit that they are a big name, with all the pros and cons that this means. They have surely influenced many, and definitely influenced by many. This is, their latest release, and it's not a new album, but a album full of covers. The songs here are well known, from the 70's, all filtered through the bands own perspective. This is not always good, or bad, but gives you the feeling that this album is a bit unbalanced. There are moments that the band is excellent, and the cover is good, like the Deathish, Just Got Paid Today of ZZ Top, and Supernaut just to name a few, but there are also enough indifferent or less good moments. After a few hearings, the whole thing seems not so bright anymore, a bit more predictable, and sometimes even boring. If you are a big fan of the band check them out, otherwise, it's better to check something else.
4/10
