STORM WARRIOR - Heading Northe

This is the latest release of the German band, and this is their third album so far. Their style might not be the most unique thing around, but is well performed, full of nice melodies, and is a very interesting combination of Epic and True Metal, with Power. Inspired by the Northern Mythology, something obvious from their lyrics and song titles, the band has also managed to implement some of this atmosphere into their music as well, and it was done in a clever way. Nice vocals, not so harsh as it was in their previous releases, but fitting with the style of the music, good melodies, clever arrangements, and some interesting ideas, are the key points of this album. On the other hand, some Priest and Maidenish riffs, and a similarity of early Helloween, with Kai Hansen on vocals, do exist, but after the first listening, one can tell that the band is far more talented than a mere copycat. This album is fun to listen to, you can sing along, bang with the rhythm and drink beers, and for all those reasons above, it's recommended to the fans of Power Metal.
9/10
